Another in my series of swamp palmettos and palms. I didn't use a polarizer with this one because I wanted the reflections to show. Shot at St. Mark's Wildlife Refuge.

Please view LARGE for better detail.

D2x, 1.6 sec @ f/11, 280 mm (200+1.4 TC), 100 ISO, Tripod

Critiques and comments always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Sweet! This has such clarity and a very natural feel that makes it much more than the sum of its parts. I can see what attracted you to photograph this seemingly unexceptional subject. Very cool!

I like this better than the previous palmetto post, Bill. Both are good, but this one is exceptional. Such a crisp, clear, intimate scene presented beautifully. :toast:

I like the, well as David put it, then seemingly unexceptional scene that works beautifully.

This is very nice. The subtle reflection contrasted with the brighter palms makes this somewhat different but works well in my opinion.

I like the "asymmetrical" symmetry of this image - the left and right sides are similar, but different...
