Gorgeous capture of this very stealth looking hunter, Doug. The cat coloring and details, as well as the snow texture are perfect in every-way. Nicely captured scene.

Nice catch Doug. Beautiful cat out in the open in fresh snow and good light. You really took advantage of it. He certainly looks like he's on a mission. Colors and detail are very nice. A keeper.

terrific shot of a cat I've never seen. Great pose and great detail. Good exposure of the subject and the snow.

Excellent close-up look at a wild bobcat in winter habitat. I like that focused gaze and tensed body posture, the elongated body makes for a dynamic diagonal in the composition.
The facial details look good, however I wonder if this might be just a little over sharpened - the fur and flying snow has a slight "crunchy" appearance that sometimes comes with sharpening. Is this a crop Doug? I'm always on the lookout for Lynx on my photo trips but rarely see them, so congratulations on photographing this elusive animal.

Thanks folks! Thanks Gary - this image is cropped down by about 30%. I agree that the larger version does look a little oversharpened, though the standard size version looks ok to me. Thanks for the input!

Thanks Doug. Yes, I was referring mostly to the larger version regarding the sharpening. I was wondering about the crop as sometimes I find that large crops seem to easily "appear" as if they are over sharpened.

Super shot. No nits from me on this one. What section of the park?

Thanks Rick. This was on the west side of the park, along the Madison River

Nice capture...I am a bit envious as I have only seen one in the wild my entire life. I don't think you could ask for a better scene, the snow really makes him pop. I also like the diagonal comp on this. Nicely done.

HI - wow so lucky! This is beautiful and I love the angled composition of the bobcat, too. He has such a focused stare also. Congratulations!
