Ventured out in the woods in the rain to see how the critters were preparing for the on coming winter weather of ice and snow in the south. Shot from deer stand, cropped to 80% of FF.

A cute little guy. Could have used a smaller aperture. 2.8 just does not give a pleasing DOF here to me.

Very nice image of this little Squirrel, Mike! I like the comp. I too would have liked a bit more DOF, especially to have the lichen in focus.

Nice perch, and BG (feels like I am in the Avian gallery?) but I would prefer a little more DOF. I don't always think everything should be sharp all the way to the tip of the tail but here you are losing focus on the paws and chest and there should be more IMO.
