Huddled

Hey everyone! Here's another from Florida! I believe these are American Coots. My dad and I were at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, when we happened upon a huge flock of these guys! They were all huddled together in one big mass! I decided to fill the frame with only Coots, as I thought that made it a stronger image.

Would love to know what you guys think of this one!

I think it's a great composition, with the one coot towards the middle seeming to be the star attraction. He acts as a very strong anchor. My only suggestion would be a mild vignette around the edges to further aid the eyes inward.

cool composition, Jenaya! I might try to get the central coot's eye to stand out a little better. it feels like this might need a little ccw rotation.

I like images like this. There is a line of focus and everything else just fills the frame nicely. Good idea!

I like Brian's suggestion about bringing out that eye. I wonder if you could go a bit brighter on this? Nice grouping of birds..packed in like sardines! Sharon
