I like this, from the metallic sheen at top to the deep, dark blues below.

Very eye-catching ice photo, Morris! What struck me immediately was the soft sheen on the ice created by some out-of-view lighting. Great POV looking out over the ice surface, plus a very nice comp with the placement of the cracks in the image. The snow caught in the cracks adds an interesting touch. Lovely colors and details. Beautiful!

Wow, this one is just stunning, Morris! Nice to see a more literal shot from this location. This is just as beautiful as any of the abstracts I have seen.

Great perspective, I like how you used the light reflection on the ice to highlight off the subtle textures on the surface. It's also pretty cool that as the glow goes away the surface detail goes away and the elements below the ice become visible. Nicely seen Morris.

I guess I'll have to visit my dad in Estes next winter and I'll tell him you and Scott made me. You've got a great combination of leading lines and a neat color change with the reflected light at the top. I also really like those lines of tiny bubbles.

Having grown up on a pond, this is not an unfamiliar sight to me, but you have captured a small area and elevated it with some nice lighting and composition. The lines and little air bubbles really make it.

Really like the effect of this light across the ice, nice.
Excellent abstract comp, the ice 'crack' lines make it work very well Morris.
Well done!

Morris: One of my favorite places on the planet. I was there once in December and the lake was frozen but I didn't dare venture out on it at that time. Well seen and really nicely composed and captured. >=))>
