Bryce canyon morning

This past September we spent several days at Bryce. It rained constantly for four days. There was only one sunrise that we actually saw the sun. Truly remarkable place and a good reason it is so iconic.

Lighting is awesome here. I think the B&W does a nice job of complementing the textures of rock

I am normally not a fan of B&W for the southwest redrock but this is really nice.
You have such depth and tonal variety.
Excellent...

I love this a lot. This works well in black & white. Beautiful tonal range and well executed. Processing looks spot on to me. Well done :toast: :toast: :toast:

I like your conversion reducing it to tones and shapes. Very nice!

I like your B&W treatment of this scene, as well as focusing on a piece of what can be a very busy scene. Nice capture!

The lighting does everything for this shot (well, I guess the rock formations are cool too... ). The B+W works great.

You have been putting out some beautiful B&W's and this one is no exception, Gary. I love that spot of light and the range of tones in this scene. Fantastic work.

Beautiful tones and shapes in this Gary and beautiful light on the scene also. Your B&W processing is really well done in this. Great job.

You show off Bryce well in black and white, Gary. The gentle lighting and full range of tones look great in the larger version. Going b&w really lets the shapes and textures dominate.

Great conversion Gary, perfect for this type of image IMO. The play of light over the formations is wonderful and the tones and textures really make the image pop.
