Being much more than an hours drive on icy roads to the the Montreal botanical gardens. and not in the mood to spend money on a floral arrangement, i have to use my old files.  :frown: this lily was taken last April. indoors... using only natural backlight, i hope you like the high key effect ... please see the large version..

D600... 150mm macro. f/11 1/3 sec. iso 320.. tripod .. cable release
If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower. and everyone in our family , our whole society will benifit from peace.

The larger version is especially nice. I like how you put the anthers and several of the petals in focus. The color and high key composition work for this image. Helps me think about warmer seasons...............................Jim

Color is great and got my attention but seems odd not to have the heart of the bloom better lighted.

What a great "old file", Albert. The details and colors in the bloom are lovely and I sure like the high key setting and your placement in the frame.

Albert:

This is very well done and I do like it a lot. The single leaf in the bg provides a nice bg for the bloom. Only wish the left petal is not torn. The creases in the top and right petal which can be easily fixed with a heal brush. Also like to see the image brightened up a little.

I know the feeling, Albert !! Glad you did pick up on this one - the backlighting works beautifully I think, giving nice variations in light and shade to bring out the petal textures.
