Verbena

Verbena is an annual (sometimes perennial) that I like to use in my flowers beds for long season flowering. This is a ground level, quite close view of a flowering clump. . .other flowers are blurred in the background. There is a tiny visitor on one of the flowers that I decided to leave in.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/4.5 for 1/320 sec. ISO 250. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Carolyn: Another of our supporting cast that I often overlook. I like your DOF/POF choice and the BG. :toast: >=))>

Those are luscious purples, Carolyn. I also like how you've arranged the main bloom in the frame....dreams of summer in the midst of a cold winter.

Lovely color, a shallow DOF and nicely blurred BG—what's not to like? :toast:
