An early morning just prior to sunrise found this eider floating about the harbor with several rafts of ducks.

Really like the silky smooth water and reflection Charles.
Like the way you've positioned the eider in the frame too..
Very good low-light work - Well done!

Common Elder, but uncommonly good image. Congrats.

Gorgeous lighting reflecting off of the water. A nice calm serene image of this beautiful bird. Only nit is how the bird is centered in the frame

Gorgeous still water and reflected clouds, Chuck. A very nice job on the bird as well.

The whites and blacks are under good control, if a bit lacking in texture, but that's the bird. The pale pink and blue water is to die for!

I, too, love the water colours. Perhaps a lower shooting angle (if possible) would've been better.

I agree with the other comments, but would like to ad that the contrast of smooth water and ruff water is what makes it for me. Well done.

Lovely picture, Chuck, of this wonderful bird but for me there there are two issues. The blacks are well managed but the bulk of the whites appear to be blown. I know it's nice for the bird to have plenty of 'space to swim into' but in this instance I feel there is far too much space ahead of the bird. This is purely my personal feeling and not intended to be destructive. I would try reducing the forward space by 50% and compensate by increasing the 'wake' by say 25%.

Pretty water colors, and the smoothness of the water are very nice. I like the look towards you. Sharon
