Found this trio in a local pond in Fort Worth, Texas. Almost got all three in focus.

Two out of three is pretty good, Jerry-better than we usually get! I like the reflection. Have you tried selectively sharpening the rear Scaup to see if that helps? It doesn't seem too soft to my eye, and I think you can make it look reasonably sharp.

The slightly soft focus on the 3rd Scaup doesn't bother me, great job getting good eye contact on all three and showing good head color on all three. Very nice image, congratulations.

Nice colors in both the bluebills and the water. I do wish for a little more separation between the two to at least show the entire bill. Still a nice grouping and capture. Sharon

Agree about obscured third bird (more separation).
Overall very nice with the head colours and those beautiful eyes!

Beautiful water color and great lighting on the scaup to show the purple sheen. I would have preferred if it the first 2 weren't overlapping each other but nothing you could do about that. They all look pretty sharp to me but based on your comment of almost getting all 3 in focus, you could have gone to F11, iso 200 and kept the same shutter speed and you then probably would have had plenty of depth of field.
