I'm a sucker for flowers on a dark background, so I really like this, Sandy. The central comp works well with this fairly symmetrical flower, plus the simple comp and framing really help showcase the beauty of this flower. A bit of darkening may be helpful for the "pouch" part of the flower IMO. Also, on the stem, there appears to be a break in the right edge just a bit up from the bottom of the frame. Lovely to view in the doldrums of winter.

Sandy: Simple and very effective presentation of this beauty. I like the subtle colors in the petals especially. Pretty nice lighting as well. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Very beautiful. I like the black background and the framing is just right. The Niners also did very good.

Aside from what others have said, I like the rich "feel" of the texture of the orchid. :toast:

Sandy, this is a very elegant portraits worthy of a VIP. Splendid.
I have never seen this type of orchid with these colors; interesting.
Cheers.
