Dreaming of the ledges

A few months ago, I hiked up here with a friend and found a composition I liked so much so that I was curious to find out if the sun ever rises between the two mountain ranges. After checking the TPE, it turns out that it does, but only during the shortest day of the year meaning when the sun is near its most southeastern rotation path.

During the two hours up here, my camera and I experienced rain and brief moments of snow when the sun got covered up by clouds and then it was clear again.

C&C always welcomed and thanks for looking,
Zho

I see some strong magenta cast after posting, here is a quick repost.

I don't mind the magenta but think the lake needs to be darker. Other wise really nice.

Very well done ad good story too. I like the second post and suggest burning foreground rocks 15% and lake too. :toast:

Attempt at darkening the pool and Foreground. Dark enough or i should I try a darker exposure?

Wonderful all around scene! The repost is slightly better but both are fine images to me. The sun between the mountains really makes the comp here.
