Beautiful sharp and very well composed, Jerry. If you want to play with the image, I think it might work even better if the mottled ice were continued into the dark strip in the upper left. That dark area kind of draws my attention from the bird.

Sharp where it needs to be, looks like the new lens is working out just fine, way to go.

Excellent detail, sharp bird against a very nice background. Well done.

these immature bald eagles sure are cool birds... nice details and the pose and prey are excellent. I agree that the dark corner isn't ideal, trimming from the top would be tricky for the comp, but maybe taking a small amount off the top and left would help minimize it.
