Raindrops on Lilies

With rain off and on most of the day, I got to play some more with catching the splashes from raindrops and the patterns created in my pond. For me, this is more abstract than my earlier catch which lets the noise become part of the abstraction. (5D3, 100mm macro L, 1/160s, f/14, iso 6400, tripod and raincoats) Processed with TK's triple plays & luminosity painting.

Now this is neat! Different, which is so nice to see these days, and effective. Love the splashes (no pun intended) of color too.

I like it Mark, very creative, and different as Bill mentioned, his thoughts are mine all the way, stay dry.

This looks like fun. The colored pads break up the rain-gloomed water nicely. A very enjoyable image.

I can't top all the great comments, I agree with the consensus Mark.
The grain sure does help to accentuate the patterns, and puts the focus right where you want it..
I like your vision (bet ya heard that one before)
Merry Christmas & thank you for comments this past year :wavey:

Hi Mark, I'm enjoying how this image worked out and a nice vision on your part. The combination of shapes from the raindrops and pads looks great and the textures just add that much more. Very cool! Happy Holidays!! Nick

Excellent thinking & technical approach to this somewhat ordinary event on this pond, Mark. I really like your aligning with nature and actually collaborating with it to capture this weather produced action shot.

I like this uncommon view at lot, Mark. An appealing abstract to me, especially due to the interesting shapes complemented by the fine natural colors.

Nice work Mark... love the comp with the raindrops. I might boost the contrast some and reduce the noise, if it were mine

I love it! I've long wanted to capture rain drops like you did here, but the colorful leaves and rings around the raindrops are wonderful!
