I see now it's more tightly composed than I want it to be.

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Raw file processed in LR5, with TK resize/sharpening for web.
Canon T3i, 1/400 s, f/6.3, ISO 400, EF 70-200 mm f/2.8 @ 200 mm, CPL

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ronald. I'm not sure if it is really too tightly composed, but it feels a little unfortunate to not be able to see the entire trunk. So, perhaps more a matter of what to reveal and what to hide depending on your objectives. Nice job on the exposure, sharpness.

It is easy to immediately want to see the species signature trunk, but as a close up it may not be necessary. I do agree with you that it feels too tight a composition, especially because the interesting negative space under the mouth is compromised enough to clip the visual elements of those nicely silhouetted hairs.
