Merry Christmas! I was looking through my photos for something with a Christmas feel and came across this polar bear image from my fall trip to Churchill, Manitoba.

Comments, critique and suggestions always welcome.

Happy Shooting
Jack

Tech stuff: Canon5D III, Canon EF500mm/f4L IS, f/5.6, 1/160 sec, ISO-640, tripod. Cropped 20% from top and right. Processed with Lightroom.

I like this, Jack. Has a peaceful and relaxed look to the scene.

Merry Christmas to you as well Jack. This is a peaceful scene, I really like the mix of rounded shapes and subtle natural colours, and of course the sleeping bear. Composition is excellent. I would suggest just a little more sharpening on the bear itself, although it is "good" as is. All the best in 2014.

Very pleasing image, Jack. Thanks for sharing it. Hope to see more of your images (and commentary on the works of others) in the coming year!
