I understand it is no longer the "done thing" to disclose where you have taken Rhino images. The fact that the presence of these animals in this place is advertised by the owners of the reserve is seen to be irrelevant.
If any member wishes to know the location of this marvelous little park, please end me an email

This Rhino was charging down to the waterhole in front of our totally private lodge

This would have been a REALLY fun shot, if perspective had been from your belly!!!

Hey Ken,

Nicely documented. From a compositional perspective I'd like to see more room in front of the rhino (and less in the rear) to give it room to move into. And I agree with Lon that shooting this from a much lower angle would dramatically alter the shot (and, IMO, strengthen it significantly).

I like the dominant red color and enjoy looking at the detail in him in the larger photo. If there's enough image quality, a closer crop on the face would be interesting too.

Before I go off to Hwange, first thing in the morning, I thought I had better thank you,and respond to your comments.
Firstly the waterhole is in a little valley and it is downhill on each side in order to get lower I would also have needed to get nearer and on foot which I thought would be a little silly, secondly laying flat on my belly does not get me that much lower

Ah Ken, political correctness just isn't your thing is it? Mine neither, so refreshing.
I like the charging pose but for me the crop is too tight and gives no sense of place (even if the place is unmentionable )

Like the action and detail but would have also preferred a lower angle POV just like others suggest.
