Although I have seen similar shots a thousand times, none have come close to the beauty and mood this one does, David. Outstanding! The use of the light in the rain really evokes an emotional response. :toast:

Nice atmosphere in this, David. Looks familiar - Oak Alley?

Cool image, I like your vertical comp showing height of the foreground trees, the light shining through to the branches uptop and blurred distance background. The processing looks sweet and spot on. On a rainy day, this would be a fun image to play with to see if it can go darker, but i am just thinking outloud. Enjoying the mood!

Excellent. I always love the oaks, especially draped with moss and arching over a roadway or trail, well done :toast:

Spectacular. A cross between Hudson School, Romanticism, and and every live oak horror story ever told (sorry, just saw 12 years a slave, and I'm not sure these trees can ever outlive that history).

Hi David :wavey: I'm late in my comments. we lost our electricity twice for a total of almost 6 days. and had to heat with wood.. love this image, because it's beautifully composed, and the subject is breathtaking!! i love oak trees. and planted 350 red and burr oaks in one of my fields. but i'll have to wait a while before they look like the ones in your post... .. Best wishes for the new year!!
And congrats on the WP :toast: :toast: :toast:
