Quiet Morning

I came upon this doe early this morning while on a visit to the nature preserve. She was on top of a small hill and I was in a depressed area so we were seeing each other almost eyeball to eyeball level. She very quietly just laid there and watched me as I watched her. I wasn't being loud or disruptive to her peace so she just accepted me. I took a series of photos and left not wanting to try her patience. Minor tweaks to the LR5 sliders to make small adjustments. Thought it came out fairly well. But I'd like your input by way of comments and critiques.

My only suggestion would be to add a vignette. Since you are familiar with LR5, I'd go there to do it rather than PS. I'd suggest using the Graduate tool or the Radial tool. Perhaps even a combination of both. In essence, and of course strictly IMO, the deer needs to be emphasized a little more, and the background needs to be subdued.

The low perspective makes this more engaging. The twig over the ear is a bit unfortunate, but not a deal breaker. Good posting. Did you try any frame with her a little off center?
