Inca Dove getting a drink from the fountain, made from native limestone rocks found on our land.
From this morning.. The dove would lift its head quickly after every drink, throwing small water droplets to the front.
F/10, 1/400th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x ext.
No flash & mostly cloudy.

Nice crisp image, Howard. I like the muted palette.

Good camoflauge shot, as the bird blends into the rock nicely.
The white mark to the right of his beak in the center of the rocks and one light spot just a bit above the s in "rights reserved" should be removed ... :wavey:

Those are water drops Lucy, and I elected to leave em in.. It's otherwise known as artistic license
The Inca would lift its head quickly after suckin' up some water, the drops out front are the result :wavey:

I have a special fondness for these small scaly doves. I like the color harmony in this.

I like this too, Howard. It's a beautiful species (that I've never seen) and I like the setting, natural or not.

Nice shot of a cool bird Howard. I think the scaley pattern in the plumage looks very cool. The colors all work well together and I like the water drop at the tip of the beak.
