Passing Glory

Splashes of color defy a dense wall of clutter draped in curtains of moss on a rainy morning in the swamps.

You've been killing these lately and this one is just great. I like the dark back round and leaves popping out of it. Very mysterious and dark mood. Just great David. :toast:

Yes, there is life in that secretive, dark forest. The cool color tones are perfect.

Gorgeous David. Love the juxtaposition between the somber trunks and the colorful leaves. It may just be this crappy uncalibrated work monitor I'm on, but the trunks seem to have a somewhat bluish cast to them.

I really enjoy your work David not just because the landscapes are so different than what's availabale here in the PNW but because you always capture so much detail throughout the full tonal range and your compositions are often striking. I'm a big fan of dark moody scenes so this one is especially appealing.
