Fogged Fall Lilies

With the onset of chilly weather, as the lilies in my pond grow new leaves they have colors other than green. After a heavy overnight fog that was lifting when I took this, there was a fine collection of drops coating the leaves. (5D3, 100mm macro L, 1/100s, f/10, iso 400, tripod, cable release and polarizer) This is a 15 image stack for top to bottom sharpness.

The depth of field, sharply defined droplets and brilliant color give this a slightly hyper-realistic feel.

Strong composition with the simple, repetitive shapes and the bold colors. This is truly a stand-out. Nice job.

What a cool collection of shapes. The sharpness looks very good, like the diagonal arrangement. Your timing and observations were perfect to catch this while the conditions presented.

Fantastic work Mark! The large version is a real treat. I remember some of your other lily pad images earlier this year. Loved them too. This one looks like a puzzle waiting to be assembled.

Wicked cool...very surreal, uncommon shot of a common subject. :jump:
The colors, surface tension and drops are amazing.

Great dynamics here with the large pads, the surrounding water, and the entire water-drop patterns of all sizes. The lily pads although a very natural random placement, they seem to hold a nice design in the scene overall.

Wow, this is quite a capture Mark. I don't think I've ever seen this much color variation between adjoining lily pads before, and the droplets add even more interest. Great job.

Outstanding work Mark, the "top to bottom sharpness" in the LP makes this 'extra' realistic.
And if I was a frog, well.. I'd be jumping into the monitor
Great eye for the shot, I like your vision..

Sweet Mark. I love the water on the pads, especially that large guy in the lower right.
