I'm fairly certain this is a female Crescent Honeyeater (any Aussies confirm if you can) captured on the flower spike of a yakka or grass tree in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.

Having just returned from Queensland, I'll have to admit that your Honeyeaters are as bad as our Warblers, but your identification looks good from the field guide I picked up there. Nice image with a sweet pose and bg. I might be tempted to rotate the image to straighten the flower spike, though I suspect it wasn't vertical in reality.

Very nice little bird - I'd wish to see a larger image posted as well.
Nice detail, true colours, and interesting flower spike.
