Waldo (a moorhen) is hiding in here. What a great place to hide in plain sight.
I did not put this in Avian, because the bird is not an obvious subject.... The trees are

Lucy, this is pretty cool. It's easy to understand how something can hide in plain sight in these swampy environs. I especially like the reflections as an abstract.

The trees and their reflection and fabulous and the moorhen adds a nice note of interest. wonderful composition. Just out of curiosity, did you happen to get a comp with just the moorhen and that incredibly cool reflection? That would make a killer abstract. (:

Love the reflection of the trees in the water and the moorhen. Along the lines of Nancy's comment, I might consider cropping out about 1/4 of the top portion, to really emphasize the reflection and the bird. Just a thought of course. Really nice.

I'm so glad you like this.
Yes, I did consider cropping out the top area, but I decided to keep that touch of green. And, I did crop some from the top, already. The moorhen has a few green leaves around it, and the top green seemed to pull that out. Without the green, the moorhen stands out more. He seems to be more camouflaged, when your eye tracks the green.....at least, to my eyes.

I find the branches coming in from the left to be a bit problematic--but i like the scene and idea.

Stan, I hate those branches, too...But, it would take forever to "get rid of them". Unfortunately, the moorhen would not move to a better spot! Thanks for looking
