Clearing mist at Lake Fenwick, a local park about ten minutes from my house. Pretty photogenic when the fog rolls in...

Photogenic indeed! the fog only enhances the mood with the autumn color, Joe. This is a beauty. I could also see this with the URC toned down just a tiny bit.

Yeah, I was actually thinking the same thing Ed. I already toned it down some, but I wanted to keep that misty feeling. I'll play with it when I have some time.

Oh yeah, two of my favorite things: Autumn leaves and rising mist.
Interesting how the mist seems to intensify the effect of the colors. Also, you made good use of that dead spruce in the water. Something that we would usually think of a "in the way of the view" spices up the composition in this case. When life hands you lemons... squeeze 'em!

P.S. Just read the other comments. By all means, don't loose that misty mood.

Really nice mood to this Joe and the colors are just great. I like the log you included it helps anchor the scene nicely. Great job on this. :toast:

Gorgeous, Joe. Excellent composition; that fallen tree in the foreground water and the placement of the shoreline couldn't be better. Not to mention the glowing gold of the maples. Autumn was a real bust around our neck of the woods; glad to see it wasn't for you. Oh, love that mist too. Outstanding.

Thanks Vance. It was kind of a bust here as well, but I found a few good spots!

I've been waiting for this one to pop up since seeing it on Facebook. I love this one too Joe. You really caught a wonderful mix of color and mood, and I think the tree in the water adds a great point of interest that leads into the photo, Great work recently Joe! :toast:

I do love fall photography, and this another gorgeous capture of mother nature in all her glory. The tree really works for me as an interesting foreground element, and the colors, reflections, and mist bring this image together wonderfully.
