Fall colors near the District of Columbia are just getting started with only a few trees showing much color. I found this one spot during a late afternoon ramble where the reflections in the C&O canal had a great variety of color as well as being nicely rippled.

Mark, really like the way the ripples break up the reflections giving it that abstract quality. Beautiful color and comp.

This autumn abstract has a lovely painterly effect to it, Mark. The color palette along with the rippled water work very nicely together.

The fall colored ripples actually have a nice calm and rhythmic feel to this scene, Mark. Very nicely seen and captured too. :cool:
