‘Time Well Wasted’
WC # 607, Thought I would give this Falling Leaf challenge a try and a true challenge it is indeed. Approached from several different directions and about 350 shutter releases till I managed this shot # 347 as I was loosing daylight. May try again tomorrow, I did learn a lot to be sure. Cropped to original size at 65% of FF. This is very unpredictable subject matter!

Hi Mike :wavey: i like how you captured this falling leaf ... good color and detail. but the Bg distracts a bit. and could be croped more around to be even better

Terrific catch (showing excellent patience and persistence), Mike, with that lone leaf nicely sharp. Given the challenge of even catching this, I think the background sets the stage very nicely.

Three cheers for Mike! You really worked hard to meet this challenge and finally succeeded. What perserverance! Great job capturing this leaf in midflight. . .and even composed nicely too. The background is in just enough in focus to show a natural evironmental context for this falling leaf. One thought would be to darken the bright areas in the background just a bit.
Well done. :toast:
