Taken last fall on the east side of the Sierras. This is a favorite spot for photographers and the picture hides the fact that the shore was lined with us at dawn.

Canon 5d,M3,IS0500, f/14, 1/80.

Comments and critiques welcome.

This feels warm and inviting. The fall color is very nice

The colors are very nice, and I like the reflection, but for me the image lacks a strong center of interest. My eye just kind of wanders around the image.

Thanks, Richard, for letting me know why the photo doesn't really hit the mark. I guess a rock or log in the foreground, a canoe on the water or a person jumping into the water would make a better photo. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I do have some other comps that I took there that morning, and maybe I'll try to work them up to post. It's helpful to get this kind of feedback...that's how I learn!
