Loch Eilt

My first post since July, I haven't used my camera for months. I have been so busy with my sons football (soccer). He is playing for two teams, so that is my Saturday and Sundays gone. I am however, driving up to Scotland tomorrow for a much needed break with my wife so I will hopefully have a few more photo's to show soon.

This is a shot of Loch Eilt in the Western Highlands of Scotland near Glenfinnan I took on a previous visit. As you can see, the rain was coming down in buckets. I'm hoping for slightly better weather.

All feedback is welcome and thanks for looking.

Gary.

The large version translates much better. I like the lines in your comp leading to the trees on the small island. And, yes, that's a lot of rain!

Gary, this scene has a nice look even through the strong down pour and low light. The composition works very well, just need a break in the rain at some point. Good luck on your upcoming outing, sounds like it's a well deserved break.....

Gary, It does look like the rain was really coming down here and it certainly has that mood. Looks like some autumn color in the trees too. I like the little island as a focal point here in your comp. Hope you get some nice conditions on your trip!

the mood here is outstanding! I love the tiny island with it's tree and the hints of color on the bg hills through the rain. Moody and alluring.

This is wonderfully peaceful and a touch mysterious. I like that little island in the middle and the fading into the rain of the distant peaks.

I like the peacefulness of this a lot Gary. I'm wishing your logo on the large image wasn't right under the central island.

Yep, needs the larger version for full impact. There, the empty space really isolates that little island. Love it.
