Here's Hoping!

Just when I thought I had been fogged in at sunrise, the most amazing light appeared. I had hoped/planned to shoot to the west, but this clearly trumped any thoughts of the original plan. A brief, but heavenly experience. NH White Mountains last week.

Very nice. I like the combination of fog, diffuse orange glow and reflected light on the rocks. Great job.

Perfect lighting to make this one really POP. I like the obscured view by the fog, mist, or whatever leading across the valley area too, Harry. It seems to keep the focus right up front where the real detail is at. Very colorful image overall.

Interesting light and a good capture.
I like the tilted horizon contrasting with the level cloud backdrop in the upper portion.
The complementary colors of the flowers adds greatly.
I might try reducing the slightly dark vignette on the lower left??

Stunning light Harry. This really needs the larger view to catch the details in the golden haze. Glad you turned around; nice work.

Wonderful light here Harry. The large version is just great with details into the valley. Really like the orange tones and the light on the fore ground is excellent. Beautiful image. :toast:

I just sat here for several minutes staring into the large version, and caught myself smiling contentedly like the Mona Lisa (although Leonardo would more likely use my face as a gargoyle). Thanks for so expertly capturing this magic moment to share with us!
