This great piece of old barn siding was noticed at Goldfield Ghost Town, Apache Junction, AZ.

Very cool, Bob! It almost looks like a painting. Great comp with the two balancing knot holes. Love the mixture of lines, curves, and colors. This is a texture work of art.

I like this a lot. Do you think that the red tones are due to weathered paint or stain? If not, i.e. if this is bare wood, then the saturation seems a bit much to me.

Jim- The red is definitely a stain on the old plywood. With that said the wood was pretty bleached out and I have saturated liberally. It worked better than strict contrast adjustments.

Very neat! Those two knots have me thinking of a couple of old banjos hung on a wall. The red stain residues are a great complement to the weathered wood. For an abstract like this, I think you can push colors/saturation well beyond what would be normally photo real.

This is a great abstract Bob. Love the swirls and the lines and the mix of colors. Well composed and balanced too.

Terrific! What a find! Realism and curving lines...looks like an aerial photo of volcanoes and flowing lava. This is so good...put it up on the wall.

Wonderful abstract, yet it's easy to see that it's wood. Love the rich, warm colors and all the texture.
