We had a reasonably benign summer and our day lilies bloomed longer than any time ever in our garden. This one popped up next to one of our crepe myrtles which I thought made a nice BG element. Taken about a month ago but still at least two months after any prior blooms we've had. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill - I like this color the most for Daylilies. That purple is unlike any other shade - some otherworldly mix of blues, magentas, reds and what not.

The water drops, the textured log next to the bloom also add to the interest.

Your customary very crisp rendering of the flower, Bill - the textures and colours of the petals and droplets stand out beautifully. Was not sure at first about the myrtle trunk but, when you try to imagine the flower without it, you see its value - really good thinking outside the box on composition !!!
