Moonbow & Lightning #604
by Grant Collier
I took this shot from the doorway of my cabin in Utah. I was shooting lightning out the door, so I could stay inside and hopefully diminish my chances of getting struck by lightning. But I started seeing a faint arc in my shots, which I thought was some artifact of the lens. Then I looked outside and could just make out a moonbow, which is like a rainbow but created by light from the moon. I adjusted my camera settings so I could capture the moonbow more clearly and was fortunate to also capture lightning in this shot. This was taken five years ago, so don't remember the camera settings offhand.
