Venom

Folks,

Here is the second image from the scene, I was able to spend some time and made images from different pov's. The subject was moving all over due to the high wind, and also the spider was trying to hold on to the antlion.
The lynx spider was injecting venom deep into the heart of the antlion.

This was made horizontal and then cropped vertical.

Fantastic angle and light on this, Balan. Great job getting so much in focus, too. Not only an interesting action shot, but the colors and composition make it lovely to look at as well.

A bit confusing in the small image, but the large image shows the combatants better. A dynamic composition, worth figuring out. :toast:

This is so much better than the first image. Everything is in focus nicely. You also captured perfectly the poor antlion's plea for help. At least, that is how his eyes and tilt of head look to me. Also, the colors are much better in this photo. Good job :toast:

Amazing how different the light and colors look between this one and the previous version. I think both versions have considerable and nearly equal merit. However, this one does provides more color and a better look at the insects, especially the unfortunate antlion. Excellent. :toast:

Great behavior shot. As it was mentioned, it views much better when larger.

Most excellent, Balan ! A lovely composition with a nice gradient bg. Fine detail in the body and head - I guess the softness of the wing tips may be largely down to the wind but it does not spoil the image as far as I'm concerned.

I love the action here, and the colors are fantastic. :toast:

Have you considered cloning out the two yellow pistils(?) on the left side? I found myself slightly distracted by them, trying to figure out what they are. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.
