Fishing in the Fog

by Allen Brooks

I liked this for the sense of isolation seen in the photograph. Taken soon after sunset with fog settling over the river.

Canon 7D
100-400 mm at 100mm
f5.0
1/125
ISO 1600

thanks for any comments and critiques.

This is a nice moody image Allen. It conveys both a sense of solitude and at the same time a sense of camaraderie. Well done. Chet

You've got a fine, minimalist feeling here, Allen, that shows well the quietness of both fishing and the time of day. I think you can maintain that feeling but add just a touch of tension by cropping either about half of the space at the top or the bottom. I would crop from the bottom, because it adds a subtle emphasis to the light and it's reflection and it shows off the ripple in the top half.
