We have been back to Savute 3 tines since the waters returned, and up until this visit, it was still quite quiet, but now it is "rocking".
On the marsh itself, I have never seen so many Elephants in one place at one time , there were at least 500 and it was obviously not possible to get them all in
This is a very small sample.
EOS 1DX (right this time!)
200-400mm F4 at 386mm
ISO 800
F6.3
1/4000

I heard from a friend who's been up there recently that it's now properly pumping in Savute, Ken...
Nice pose from the poser and good depth in the scene here.

It's hard for me to fathom 500 elephants, that's great. Excellent far/near sort of composition. Love the color of the water, works nicely with the elephants. That 200-400 really puts out some beautifully sharp images and color rendition, a keeper for sure.

500 elephants! You will need to master the art of photographing 360 degrees and stitching them all together!

Sometimes less (than 500) is more. I love the effect of this group, especially the almost 3D effect of the one in focus against the background. I do find myself wondering if I want to see all of the reflection, but perhaps you know something we don't?
