Just Rippin' It!

Just Ripping It - Surfing Sea Lion
Just another surfin' sea lion! This is a different lion from my previous post and captured later in its run (when he/she is approaching maximum speed). At this point this beast was just ripping along...and seeming to be just loving it! Seconds after this shot this sea lion dove under the water, which they almost all did at the end of their "runs". Just a hoot to watch and a real challenge to photograph (from our bobbing Zodiac).

PS: Early tomorrow AM I'm escaping for a few weeks of vacation time, and will have no internet access during that time. So...no posting or commenting from me for the next few weeks...but I'll catch up after that...

7 commentsBecause you've recently posted a similar image this doesn't have quite the impact it might otherwise have had. But a cool shot nonetheless. It must have been a hoot to watch the sea lions body surfing.
Have a great vacation
