Red Forest

I recently took an unexpected trip up the Northern CA coast with my family and spent a few hours in the Redwoods. Unfortunately, we missed the fog and it was around noon while we were there. C&C welcomed and encouraged, I felt a little overwhelmed and out of my element trying to shoot this forest.

Keola, you have well caught the atmosphere in the rainforest. The composition is a bit chaotic though, without a real center of interest. The white sky in the middle and the blue fringes around the trees in this area are a bit distracting.

I completely agree. I didn't bracket exposures, so the sky is overexposed and I just couldn't tone it down. I really tried to make something out of nothing here. I really just can't wait to get back to the coast to have another shot.
