Taken about a half hour after first light. Only a handful of these left at "The Hook" yesterday. Wish I could say the same for the skeeters!

50D, 500mm w/1.4, ISO 800, F 6.3, 1/500
LARGER version also posted.
Thank you all very much for your comments/critiques! Sharon

Really sweet! Nice pose, great colours, and good BG. I might clone out those 2 lower leaves - they are a little distracting.
The spider web is barely visible, but very interesting. Any way to bring it out more?

Thanks, Sandy...I saw those little leaves as soon as I posted this! I will get rid of them if I print it...as for the web, I tried sharpening just over the threads of the web, but it didn't do much... I had to be extra careful with it, because at ISO 800 and this camera, noise will definitely become an issue. Any suggestions for bringing out the spider web Sandy, or others??? Sharon

Sharon,
Lovely shot! Sandy often makes small suggestions that significantly improve our shots. I particularly agree with her comment about the two lower leaves. Regardless, it is a very pleasing shot! :toast:

Excellent light, detail, color & background. Would get rid of tiny leaves at bottom. Good work!

Love the colors, the blue against the deep green is very nice.
