You've got a fine collection of colors throughout this and the two waterfalls work well together. I don't find much in the right 1/3 attracting my attention, so I'd suggest a crop from the right to around the highest point, which would be similar to your earlier version. For me that version works better, but a roughly square version could have a different feel from the vertical crop.
