Nice Cougar image John, with the eyes looking at you and the attentive pose. On my monitor it looks just a bit dark. If it were mine, I would try to brighten it a bit, perhaps some "shadow" application, realizing it can be a challenge to retain the snow surface texture. A keeper. :wavey:

I've never seen a cougar in the wild so I'd be thrilled to get a sighting like this.
The subject does look pretty dark though and would certainly benefit from some brightening. Worth some time experimenting.

Beautiful animal John! That expression is quite menacing. This being shot in a wildlife centre, I assumed you were safe behind a fence?
I agree with others that the image is on the dark side and that it would benefit from some brightening.

I agree with the brightening suggestions already made. The cat's expression gave me chills when I opened this! If this had been out in the wild and I had seen this cougar looking at me like this - I would have hightailed it away! We've had some cougar sightings up in the Colorado Nat'l Monument the last few weeks, and I quite frankly pray I don't run into any while I'm out hiking (I hike alone a lot).

Ditto, my feelings about the exposure. However, looking at the grey snow, I am tempted to think this might have benefited by dialing in probably something like a +1 exp comp? The snow would then have looked more naturally white, and the exposure on the cougar would have right, I think.
