A Summer's Day

I've chosen this title because nothing seems to me better to catch the feel of summer than a field or bank of chamomile daisies. The high ISO is simply because I forgot to reduce it after shooting some fast moving butterflies !!

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/2500 sec @ f 5.6, ISO 640, hh.

Ah yes, a dreamy summer day. Takes me back to my youth, and that was a looooong time ago. This is as soothing as Chamomile tea, Ian. :toast:

Nicely composed and captured for the dreamy look. I like the dof and pof, and the overall soft colors. :toast:

The shallow DOF here gives this an almost dreamy feel. I think it works well here. It also conveys the warmth of a summer's day very well.

Ian: Another beautiful SOA presentation. Love the comp and color palette as well as your DOF/POF decisions. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

I don't really have anything to add from what the others have said. I like this very much—the softness, the shallow DOF, the pastel colors. The thumbnail does not do it justice.

Ian - Lovely treatment and just about enough DOF to capture the details on the yellow center.

I am not sure the OOF Bloom right of center adds to the composition but it sure lends a counter balance to the main bloom.
