Like a sun-star one can gaze upon at leisure and appreciate the nuances of warm color.

GH3, 100-300 @ 150, handheld, cpl; f 5, 1/40, ISO 200. Big smile. Early evening light at Pt. Defiance Park, Tacoma, WA.

Thanks for viewing.

The cut-off comp is a bit unconventional, Catherine, but with a gorgeous bg like this, it works fine for me. A very beautiful dahlia image. They don't get any better. :toast:

The comp works great to force the eye to the center. Love the dappled background. The clarity is outstanding, too. And, no wonder you were smiling. Perfect title. :toast:

Very unusual & interesting crop. Excellent color, sharpness and I am very taken by the BG which is colorful yet unobtrusive. Beautiful!

Great bokeh, and a very pretty bloom Catherine. I like the summery feeling.

Beautifully and boldly composed, Catherine, with a delightful multi-coloured bg. The petals seem almost to explode from the centre of the flower !

All of the subtle shades of orange in the flower are wonderfully shown. I also really like your comp. with its emphasis on the flower center and the complementary splotches of color in the background. Very well done, Catherine.

Catherine: Aptly titled and superbly composed and captured. I especially like this color bloom and the BG is most excellent. Top notch! >=))>

Wow. . . very nice! Such a wonderful blending of colors in the background. The flower color is beautiful too and the center almost seems to glow. I really like your comp and the DOF choice in this. Great job, Catherine. :toast:
