OMG.......I think I've seen this guy before....
This fella looks like he might just be the main barnyard boss, if not, he sure has the appearance of one. Detail is excellent throughout, Howard. Nice work as always.

These are the same kind of chickens I had to take care of in my growing up years. This vertical pano works great for a close-up portrait of this "cocky" guy. He certainly does give off an air of superiority with that hooded look in his eye and definitely looks like he is on top of the pecking order. Does he chase after people too? Some roosters are just downright nasty!

I agree with you about this portrait. I like this aspect ratio for portraits in general. It seems very intimate. This is not the species I would have expected from you. Made me laugh. Thoughtful image as usual, though.

Sure looks like "a tough old bird". I think your framing choice really does a fine job of making him look intimidating.

Beautiful light, detail and color, of course. I agree that this seems very intimate and very suitable for this rooster.

My Dad raised chickens (as in many thousands) as a kid and passed it on as we always had a few chickens running around the yard. Get a Bantam Rooster if you want to really liven up the place. Half the size but 5 times the meanness. Neat shot, Howard. I like the grumpy look on this fellow.

What a look to show of the alpha attitude.
