Bee Balm

I examined my previous post of this image and found quite a few artifacts. I reworked the image 6 times in Zerene Stacker until I was satisfied with the cleanup of the edges of the lavender portion of the flower, stem, and leaves. I finished the image with Cs5 curves for saturation and Topaz Detail for warming the image slightly, tweaked saturation, and sharpened the small details. Thank you for looking......................Jim

Jim, I like your photo of the bee balm flower. It is nice and sharp. For me, the BG blends in just a bit too much. I would like to see it either darker or lighter, so there is a little more separation between the BG and the flower. Thanks for sharing.

The are really neat flowers that are hard to photograph and you've done a marvelous job here, Jim. This looks perfect and the green on green background is great, I think the contrast between the two is just right. Yes, one of the prices that you pay for stacking is cleaning up artifacts in post...never get something for nothing.

I personally like the green on green very much, Jim. In fact the overall colour harmonies seem very pleasing, and the detail in the flowers is perfect. Nice lighting too - lovely image !
