I've been trying to get this shot for several years and everything finally aligned for me out in the Olympic National Park this time around.

Any feedback is more than welcome!

:wavey:

3 shots stitched for FOV and perspective control.

EDIT:
Crap, I just realized I uploaded a version with the lower left corner clipped. Oh well. That's what happens when I stay up every night for two weeks taking photos. I need some sleep!

Ha! Sleep is for the weak, Johan
This is different. I like different. The lighting is unique and dramatic, and your presentation is good. The comp is busy, but that's what makes it quirky--and i like quirky.

Great display of light! I agree sleep deprivation eventually makes you mess things up like you are drunk! :toast:

That's a difficult thing to do, but you succeeded very well! Very moody....

Thanks for looking!

Do you guys think the contrast is too high in the shadows? I usually don't use so much contrast, but it seemed to be a little more suited for this shot. I'm still not 100% sure though.

This really has to be viewed large to be fully appreciated and enjoyed. You mentioned contrast - I like this as presented; contrast looks great to me.

Well done! I think the contrast is fine as it adds to the emotional aspect of the image. Composition is nicely balanced giving the eye plenty to wander over.

Thanks again for providing feedback!

I value the input from such a talented group of photographers. I'll make sure to fix the lower left clipped portion and leave it as is.
