Mt. Evans, again. I hope Stan will like this one better as it has a more neutral white balance.

:wavey:

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Perfect,
I really like the entire image,
but the shadow detail in the rock draws me in.
Great capture and processing.

I'm loving these, Morris. What a great night for you. The light in this one makes it my favorite so far, although I'd be tempted to crop it like your "Eternal Struggle" image since there's nothing going on in the URC. Superb!

Another stunning atmosphere display Morris! The stronger presence of the sun makes this image a bit more eerie.

And I hope you're right about Stan. I know how most of us worry about pleasing him...

None of us have to worry about wondering what Stan thinks, Joe. :jump:

And, that's why we all respect him. I consider him a friend, and I have enjoyed a few good shoots with him. He is a joy to go out with and really hard for an old man to keep up with! We have had some really good talks about life and photography.

Hey, Stan, when are we going again?

Morris, this looks like where those two hobbits were heading. I sure like how the peaks in front are bathed in cloud and the sunlight sure looks like fire. Neat shot!

Morris,

Oh my goodness.... you experienced quite the night. Well, I'm assuming all these spectacular captures all came on the same outing? Or is this something you can reproduce on a whim...

Don't know what I can add other than to repeat this is spectacular. How about glorious?

No nits what so ever. Awesome.

Very nice, Morris. As I was scrolling down I noticed that a crop off the top putting the sun closer to the top of the frame seems to make this one even more dramatic. Having said that I remember from one of your previous comments that part of what attracted you to the scene was the warm / cool contrast and you lose quite a bit of that with my suggested crop. Otherwise, as I've mentioned before these are amazing...maybe even awesome!! Sorry, John!!

Great shot! The light's so dramatic that from the thumnail, I thought this was a Kilauea volcano eruption.

This is seriously in the top 2 or 3 Evans shots i've seen--incredible! :toast:
I have one suggestion--i think a little seective work on the yellows surrounding te sun in a ring--the colors there are just a tad blown. If you can clean that up a bit (and some of it is probably just jpeg banding) this will be perfect. :wavey:
And ill smack Joe next time im in Seattle...
