Most Gazelles are found in the northern part of Africa, this is the farthest south they are found. Given the fact that you do not see these to often, I reluctantly added my 2x multiplier.
Taken in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.
EOS 1DX
500mm F4 MkII + 2x
F10
ISO 800
1/1250
EV + 0.33
Hand held from open vehicle

Thanks for sharing this one, Ken. I appreciate the bit of catchlight and the motion in his pose.

Seems that the 2x multiplier did not detract from the image's quality. The gazelle is sharp and well defined. Outstanding work for hand held!

I have now seen the results of the 2x with the new 500mm Ken and have to say I am really pleased with them. The older 500 doesn't work so well with it, but this looks nice and sharp. Good techs all the way around.

Brad,
Thanks for your comments, I agree that the 2x seems to work better with the new lens, but I still prefer not to use it
