I made this image last night on a quick visit to Arches. The clouds were just a nuisance most of the night because I was aiming for milky way images. But I really liked how--for a brief moment--the arch was framed by the clouds, illuminated by nearby Moab. C&C always much appreciated.

5DIII, Nikon 14-24, f/2.8, 20 sec, ISO 3200

Really nice photo. I like the clouds and how they are positioned. It's refreshing to see the arch how it is at night and not light painted.

Wonderful shot Jared! I was there over the weekend and the clouds pretty much killed any chance of catching the night sky! Glad you got to shoot this and I agree, the silhouette is refreshing to the eyes!

Very nice shot Jared! Your night sky looks amazing! Well captured. I really like how the clouds frame the arch and milky way. Did you try any light painting or doing another exposure to bring out some detail in the arch? I really like it as is but am just curious to see how it would look.

I like this a lot, Jared. Very nicely composed with natural looking processing. I think the clouds do add a nice element to the composition because of the way that they frame the scene and add interest to provide a counterpoint to the Milky Way and enhance the silhouette of Delicate Arch.
