Looking Down...

This is from April, 2011, up in Lory State Park, near Horsetooth Reservoir. It was taken midday (overcast sky), so I never really cared for it much... That is until the other day when I stumbled across it in a folder and decided to convert it to B+W, showing off the grasses and water far below.

I handheld the camera for this image, because I didn't have a tripod at the time that could get very close to the ground. At all. That said, it could not be printed REAL big, but I like the view, so I'm doing alright...

Canon Rebel XSi 10-22mm @ 10mm
ISO 400 --- f/11 --- 1/60sec. --- no tripod/filters

VIEW LARGE, and I always appreciate your input!

Wonderful subject for black and white. You have revealed a variety of nice tones keeping the contrast true to the conditions. I especially love the variety of textures in the foreground. Very well done, Nathan. Chet

Really nice foreground tones and detail Nathan. And nice near far view of the lakes. Well done B&W conversion.
